A major new attraction has officially landed at LEGOLAND California Resort. The park has debuted LEGO® Galaxy, a brand-new space-themed land that marks one of the most ambitious expansions in its history.
The launch is part of **Merlin Entertainments’ largest single in-park investment across its North American LEGOLAND Resorts. The new land first debuted at LEGOLAND Florida Resort on February 27, 2026, bringing the cosmic experience to families on both coasts.
Galacticoaster Headlines the New Land
The centerpiece of LEGO Galaxy is Galacticoaster, the park’s first indoor space-themed family roller coaster. Before boarding, guests design their own spacecraft at interactive Customization Bays by choosing digital components like the nose, wings, tail, and a special feature. With more than 625 possible spacecraft combinations, each ride becomes a personalized mission.
Riders then scan an RFID “spacecraft key” wristband to see themselves riding in their custom ship before launching into twists and turns reaching speeds up to 40 mph, surrounded by LEGO Space sets, immersive storytelling, and onboard lighting and sound effects.

LEGO Galaxy also features several additional attractions designed for explorers of all ages:
- G-Force Test Facility – A family ride where guests swing and spin through astronaut-style forces.
- DUPLO® Launch and Land – A gentle flight-training simulator designed for toddlers and younger children.
- Junior Astronaut Training Zone – A toddler play area for imaginative space exploration.
- Rocket Assembly Bay – A creative building zone where guests can construct LEGO rockets and digitally launch them into cyberspace.
Cosmic Dining and Shopping
Guests can refuel at several space-themed dining locations including U.F.O. (Ultimate Food Outlet), serving items like Nebula Noodles and Stellar Crusts, along with Stardust Sips & Sweets and Satellite Bites for snacks and desserts. The Orbital Outpost shop offers exclusive LEGO Galaxy merchandise and souvenirs.
Live Entertainment Around the Park
The space adventure continues with Mission: Blast Off!, an interactive dance party at the Fun Town Stage featuring Space Creature, host Stella Vega, and the Astro Dancers. The show runs three times daily and ends with a character meet-and-greet.
