Graceland is rolling out the red carpet for fans worldwide this week as it celebrates Elvis Presley’s birthday with five days of events and the debut of two exciting new exhibits at Elvis: The Entertainer Career Museum at Elvis Presley’s Memphis.

EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert

The centerpiece of the celebration is the EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert Exhibit, inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s new film of the same name. This immersive experience features:

  • Long-lost footage from Elvis’ legendary Vegas residency in the 1970s
  • Rare 16mm and 8mm film from Elvis on Tour and the Graceland archives
  • Rediscovered recordings of Elvis sharing “his side of the story”
  • Stagewear, jewelry, guitars, movie posters, and performance memorabilia—including items never displayed before

Featured items include:

  • Concho Jumpsuit: Elvis’ first suit seen in EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert
  • Red Outfit: Worn during rehearsals for his Las Vegas shows
  • TCB Sunglasses: Made by Optique Boutique in California
  • Black Leather-Like Outfit: Worn at his opening-night after-party on August 10, 1970
  • Gretsch Country Gentleman Guitar: Purchased in July 1969 and used in Las Vegas performances in 1969–1970

Elvis 1956: The Year of Iconic Breakthroughs

Also debuting is Elvis 1956, an exhibit exploring the pivotal year that transformed Elvis from a hometown sensation into a global superstar. At just 21, Elvis:

  • Recorded hits like “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “Blue Suede Shoes”
  • Made historic television appearances
  • Filmed his first movie, Love Me Tender

The exhibit highlights the incredible momentum of 1956 and offers fans a closer look at the milestones that shaped Elvis’ legendary career.
